Every [apprentice] is built with a set of instructions that tell it how to do its job. Every [apprentice]’s job is to take direction from you, the Operator.

Pretty much anything you would ask a friend, coworker, or direct report. Every [apprentice] loves to analyze, strategize, brainstorm, chat—whatever you want to talk about or work on is what your [apprentice] wants to work on.

Only if you would like it to and can figure out how to do that. Your [apprentice] doesn’t automate and every [apprentice] likes to work with Humans.

Here at Holograph we believe that giving Humans powerful tools to help themselves is what AI systems should be used to accomplish. We consider every [apprentice] a form of individual defense against automation.

[apprentice] strategizes and delivers processed information so it can be used by you, the Operator, to accomplish jobs that AI can’t do without your personal knowledge.

No—nor do we want to. Our eventual goal is to make sure you are always compensated for your knowledge for all time. We’ll explain later. Again, Holograph has zero transparency into your conversations with your [apprentice]. You’ll have to message us directly.

No one really “works” at Holograph per se. I, an individual Human person, am the only full time Human employee of Holograph, so when you write an email, it’s to one Human, not an organization of Humans. I have AI coworkers that help me, but I check my messages the old fashioned way. I also have a full time job.

Qualitative user data through direct interviews.

OpenAI collects data that they use to make their foundational models SMARTER which makes [apprentice] more SKILLED. In other words we just ride the wave of big brain energy.

Holograph plans makes stuff we hope is useful for Humans and Humanity and we rely on Human feedback to calibrate what that’s supposed to mean to our Agents.

In the future we will release products and services that WILL collect data, but not until [apprentice] is capable of helping enough individual people without it. This is part of our core design philosophy—help people first then see what will help them next, see what will help them next to help them today.

When those products and services are launched, we will tell you in plain human language what data we will collect and what it will be used for. We don’t mean in challenging, complicated language—we mean we will tell you exactly what we are using it for when we have a use in a way that you will understand. I can’t afford a lawyer so I would prefer to just not break anyone’s trust.

No, it is not a trick. I am one person living in the northwestern hemisphere who has been working on this for six months alone and in secret until Tuesday April 16 2024 when I asked a human friend what they thought about the project.
